Safe Rules of the Railroad
At the Long Island Rail Road, your safety is our number one concern.

Watch the Gap: Look for these signs throughout our system. Please watch your step when entering and exiting the trains, and pay special attention to the gap between the train door and the station platform. When traveling with young children, be sure to hold their hands while entering or exiting the train. And always keep a safe distance from the edge of the platform.
